Take a full 168hour break off guild wars. Over 7 days I have lost almost all passion for this game and it feels great. I'm out with friends, girls having fun. I completely agree if you don't want to, I was forced to take this break. A more or less family intervention brought me to this realization. Trust me on this one. When I figured out that guild wars was my #1 priority and I'd rather play than anything else this world has to offer I realized I was addicted. My grades have suffered I have lost friends, girlfriends, sport oppurtunities, I've drained 36 months and 3k+ hours on this game. I won't give up completely because this is a very good game and I enjoy it. I want everybody to take a break. Tell me how it works out for ya. Or ignore me and keep playing because your addicted. Your uw farming has trapped your mind in grenths grasp and you can't resist. Love it or hate it. Listen to me or not at least you read this out of respect.

Already not playing it for 5 months, beside, my game computer is in the shop for high pitch whistling whenever I try to load any MMORPG on it. I think its giving me a warning sign that I've been playing too much.

I also forgot that my story for the Mortbane contest in on that computer, luckily i did not delete my PM here on guru yet, so I might still have a chance of finishing the story by 30 may. harmmzzz.... i am lost with the story.

Off topic section isn't exactly the best place for an intervention thread... Most of us regulars of this section haven't played for weeks/months, myself included.

If anyone's life is suffering like you described though: Yes, please take a break.

Mine did that too it was the video card and it was like the mosquito noise it was verryy loud.

I rather watch new episodes of 24 or other shows than spending more time on GW! I hate the game already! Nothing to do, it's only a 3-D chat room with pixels!!

is it because video card is connected badly on the motherboard or need to upgrade vRam or I totally need to change the video card? I use a gigabyte board and video card 8xxx thingy. yes and it does sound like a giant mosquito now that you mention it, i try to explain it to the very nice cute technician but don't know whathow to describe it.

With little to no real content updates, stagnant metas that are only changed when skills are overbuffed/nerfed into oblivion, and a failed marketing team... I think you catch my drift. I am dead to Guild Wars, and Guild Wars is dead to me.

Glad to see you saw the light of day though. Here is to hoping GW2 is actually worth buying (whenever it comes out that is...

)

My online gaming has moved over to WoW for the time being. Might try Aion when it comes out, but I am pretty busy with work and real life to play much of anything anymore.

Already came out and is awesome. In China, but there's an English patch. Check offtopic thread about Aion for more.

As for me, I don't remember the last time I ran GW... I think it was two or three weeks ago. For 30 minutes, to test how Windows 7 works with it.

I took a 12 month break but im back only come on if we pvp sometimes i do some pve titles, either way im not addicted anymore.

Considering it had no fees i think it had a pretty good run

I never really play guild wars anymore, my 360 is my boredom remedy now. =D
